THE fourth generation computer (1971 -1990)


These computer were developed during 1971-1990 A.D.

The microprocessor brought the fourth generation of computer ,as thousand of

integrated circuits were built on to  a single silicon chip . What in the first generation
 generation filled an entire room could now fit in the  palm  of the hand . the intel
4004chip developed in1971 located all the component of the computer - form
the central processing unit and memory input /output control on a single chip .

THE MAIN FEATURE OF THE fourth generation computer are:
1. VLSI technology  used
2. very cheap
3.portable and reliable

5. very small in size
